This 1978 Ford Fairmont is a well-presented V8 example that was restored in the early 2000s and has had considerable work completed throughout.

Originally produced as a six-cylinder, it has since been converted to a 302 Cleveland V8 and is fully engineered for the conversion. Paired with a C4 automatic transmission with T-bar shifter, the engine remains largely stock and is fitted with a 650 double-pumper carburettor, Gilmer drive, headers and exhaust system.

The interior is a real highlight of the car and has been fully re-trimmed, including the seats, door trims, carpets and roof lining, all of which remain in very good condition. The dashboard and door jambs are also clean and tidy. It still retains its original radio and working clock, while an aftermarket stereo has been neatly installed in the glovebox.

A considerable amount of mechanical work has also been completed, including a replacement starter motor and solenoid, replacement alternator, tune and oil change, transmission service and rear differential seal. It is also fitted with an automatic transmission cooler, shocks, springs and bushes, along with an aluminium undertray and new petrol tank.

The body presents nicely throughout and, combined with the fully re-trimmed interior and clean engine bay, makes for a tidy and well-kept example.
